Still single after being a complete package, jumping of an airplane!!

Palash Irani from Indore

Hello,

I am Palash Irani from Indore My trip to the UAE was my first international trip. I was all charged up and excited for it. The world is a beautiful and diverse place and I wanted to explore what is beyond my nation’s borders. I choose to go to the UAE because though that place is a different country, it has a desi touch to it. I was thrilled to see Indians driving so well there which isn’t the same case here.

The first city I visited in UAE was Dubai, it is built at the coastline of the Gulf of Persia. With a spectacular skyline, great connectivity and neatness Dubai impressed me in a go. I visited many places in Dubai but people say even a month isn’t enough to explore Dubai, it’s so huge and diverse.

The place which fascinated me the most was Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Seriously it’s an epitome of brilliance. There they gave us an insight on how the building was built, how many people were behind it, why the top 15-20 floors aren’t habitable because of winds blowing at 200kmph and the view from the 148th floor, the highest a tourist has access in the building. And trust me you don’t want to directly look down from the window at that height.

After spending an hour there I headed to Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world, and oh boy it had everything, from fine, dine restaurants to pubs and luxury brands to a Lamborghini showroom, name the product and you’ll definitely find it in Dubai Mall but trust me you’ll get lost there if you don’t keep a track on the lefts and rights you tame there.

The next day that is valentine’s day I did what any hot and handsome guy would have thought to do because he’s still single even after being a complete package, jumping off a goddam airplane. Though I did it with a parachute because self-love is a thing as well. Sky diving was the craziest thing I’ve ever done in my life, that moment when you’re standing at the edge of the plane’s door either you can be scared or jump off as you shout out let’s go, looking into the camera, I’m glad I did the latter one. It was a blissful experience but a painful one, as well as winds, crash into your ears at a speed of 250kmph which without a safety gear for ears is pretty harsh. That night I spent my time at Dubai Mall shopping and after that partying at a pub, which is built on a beach, it gave me sunburn vibes, seriously.

The next day I went to Aqua venture, it’s a aquarium cum water park which was amazing. They literally created a mini sea kind of a place where all kinds of fishes were swimming and yes by all kinds I mean sharks as well, though they were small and harmless at that stage. One can even pay extra and scuba dive there but seriously nothing can beat scuba diving in a sea. After the aquarium I visited the waterpark where I saw slides which creped me out, yes the guy who jumped off a plane just yesterday shouting let’s go because they were built so damn scary.

On the same day in the evening we went to the global village where cultures and cuisines of counties all round the globe were to be seen. It was worth the effort I put in walking round the global village after spending a tiring day at the water park, and then I enjoyed my time on a cruise through the city on a ferry where I had a view of Dubai’s famous skyline.

The next day I was traveling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE by road. After the tiresome journey, I decided to visit the Yas Mall, which was near my hotel, to shop for my friends and family as I barely had a day in Abu Dhabi. The next day I visited the Warner Brothers Studios which is a theme park on cartoon characters from WB studios, it really did bring out the child in me, after spending a blissful, childish day at the WB studios I had to rush to the airport to board my flight for India.

I loved my trip to the UAE, I was impressed by the diversity of Dubai, the system and the manner things and traffic work efficiently there even though the majority of the people driving there are from India and Pakistan. Burj Khalifa stole my heart, sky diving showed me how brave I was and aquaventure taught me that maybe you did something brave in the past something is still out there which will definitely scare you and the place I loved the most, WB Studios where I found the child inside me as I ran to cosplays of Batman, Flash, Scooby Doo, Flintstones and damn I regret I couldn’t meet Tom and Jerry. If life gives a chance I’ll definitely visit the UAE again.
