Chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Government now have decided to issue press release also in Sanskrit, along with Hindi, English, and Urdu. The first newspaper by the state Government’s Information Department was already released on Monday i.e. June 19th, 2019.
The Information Department of UP state Government has decided to take help of Lucknow-based Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan for translating chief minister’s speeches for public release.
Incidentally, there are 25 periodicals in Uttar Pradesh which are printed in Sanskrit but none of them is a daily, Thus CM Yogi will be releasing a daily Sanskrit press.
An official said that this type of step is being taken for the first time. The speech of CM Yogi was delivered at NITI. Aayog meeting in New Delhi was released in Sanskrit and was well received. And now they’re planning to expand it further.
