More than 600 people rescued in the Agar district of Malwa.

The Shajapur District of Malwa Agar witnessed a slapdash of rains. Where more than 600 people had to be rescued from Soyat Nagar area after water flooded the locality forcing people to perch on the rooftops.
The downpour, which revived with full intensity has led to water-logging into residential areas of Agar Malwa district, which receive over 174.6mm rainfall in the last 24 hours.
The District collector Sanjay Kumar and SP Sunita Sohane are on a high alert for any eventuality. They are encountering the affected areas, issuing necessary instructions to offer relief to the people.
In wake of warning of heavy rainfall for the rest of the day too, the schools shall remain closed and the administration is making arrangements for relief centers in schools by availing people with the necessary items. Floodwater inundated the entire city area, covering the first story of buildings. People are found to be sitting on their rooftops waiting for rescue and relief.
Corps are trying their best to bring the main city area back in operation and to cope with the chaos caused by the rain.
