Madhya Pradesh government is looking forward to launch an online service for cow adoption. Those who are willing to adopt a cow and have the requisites resources to shelter the cows across the state, can now avail the benefit of this service at their fingertips.
Donors can pick a gaushala in the state and pay the amount to fulfil a cow’s diet. Herein each contributor will be featured on the respective department’s website and receive a certificate. Using the service, donors, including NRIs, could pay gaushala managers directly for a borewell, a bull, a biogas plant or a shed.
District Collectors would ensure that the donations are put to the desired use, the department will keep donors informed. Government is taking a step towards protecting the abandoned cattle’s of the state and providing shelters to the stray cattle’s.
Kamal Nath government allocates ₹132 crore in the budget to undertake this project. He had announced to build 1,000 gaushalas in the State, earmarked it as a part of corporate social responsibility.
